The short version

● Hardware — screen, joystick, mic, speaker, gestures
● Funding — $5.5 million raised in July 2026
Aina opened preorders on 5 November for an AI ring carrying a screen, a joystick, a microphone and a speaker, with gesture support. Early-bird pricing is $399, rising to $499 afterwards, and it is planned to ship in January 2027.
The use cases run wider than agents alone: taking calls, viewing phone notifications, controlling music and smart home devices including Apple TV, and driving apps on a Mac or phone. For dictation it works with Wispr Flow or Aina's own engine. Founder Apoorv Shankar, whose previous product was Mirage, a three-key Mac controller, put the reasoning plainly: for interacting with proactive agents, we need a better interface. Aina raised $5.5 million in July 2026, and lands in a category that already includes Pebble Index 01, Sandbar Stream, Oasis and Natura. Specs are on the Aina listing.
No battery life, weight or screen size has been published, which for a ring is the number that decides whether it gets worn. Fourteen months of preorder is also a long time in this category. But the premise is sound and worth separating from the hardware: if agents act on your behalf, they have to ask permission somewhere, and pulling out a phone to approve each step defeats the point of delegating.
