CurlShot is a screenshot API for developers and AI agents. One HTTP request turns a URL, HTML or Markdown into a PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF or a scrolling video (MP4, WebM, GIF). Pages render in a real browser. Lazy images are loaded on the way down, and ads, trackers, chat bubbles and cookie banners can be removed before the capture. Pick a phone, tablet or desktop preset, capture one element with a CSS selector, or put the whole page on one PDF sheet. For AI agents there is a built-in MCP server at https://curlshot.com/api/mcp with take_screenshot and list_devices tools, plus an OpenAPI 3.1 file, llms.txt and a markdown version of every docs page. It also offers caching, signed links, async jobs with signed webhooks and bulk runs of up to 100 URLs, and there is an n8n community node. It works from any language with no SDK; the docs have examples for cURL, Node.js, Python, PHP, Go and Ruby. Limits to know: pages behind a login need cookies or headers, private and local addresses are refused, and some sites block automated browsers. Pricing: a free plan with 100 screenshots a month and no card; Starter $19, Growth $79 and Scale $249 a month. Failed renders and cache hits are free.
