Jensen Huang pledged the platform stays open and that NVIDIA compute will not be required to build or deploy through it. That is a coherent position and consistent with what he has argued publicly. It is also exactly what you would say either way — so the thing to watch is whether AMD and Intel paths stay first-class rather than merely permitted, and whether any lab starts mirroring weights elsewhere.

Apple's first event under Ternus
Apple holds its September event today — iPhone 18 Pro and a rumoured iPhone Ultra, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, a foldable, and an Apple TV refresh where the interesting part is whether Siri becomes a genuine smart-home hub.
John Ternus became chief executive on 1 September, so this is eight days into the job and almost certainly a roadmap he inherited. Reporting around the transition pointed at a management reshuffle touching Apple Intelligence direction, and today is the first opportunity to see whether anything has changed.
The context that has not moved: Apple remains the only large technology company without a frontier model of its own, and its most obvious partner is in litigation with it ahead of a 1 October hearing.
