Anthropic opened a Personal Finance beta in Claude on 5 November. You link accounts through Plaid, and Claude can then answer questions about your own spending rather than about money in general.

So the depth is uneven. Two years of transaction history on a current account is enough to answer where the money went. An investment account contributes a single number.
It is read-only, and that is the point
Claude cannot move, manage or invest money. There is no payment rail behind this, no transfer button and no brokerage link. The integration is a window, not a lever.
That is worth saying plainly because the headline writes itself the other way, and the other way is wrong.
The limitation that will catch people out
Coverage is capped at sixteen US banks at launch. If yours is not among them, the feature does nothing for you today regardless of your plan. US only, and Pro, Max or Ultra only.
One thing to understand before you link an account
Anthropic says hub chats are not used for training. Separately, anything Claude has already told you stays where it was said: figures persist in your chats, artifacts and any shared links until you delete them, and unlinking the bank afterwards does not remove them.
If you share a Claude conversation that quotes your balance, unlinking the account later does not unshare the number.
