Per Bloomberg's coverage, Theseus Infrastructure is a vehicle for Anthropic to get dedicated compute capacity without carrying data centre construction on its own balance sheet. Macquarie and GIC fund and own the equity. Anthropic gets purpose-built US facilities under long-term leases — predictable capacity without the hyperscaler dependency or spot market volatility. Anthropic already committed $100B+ to AWS over a decade for Trainium capacity. Theseus adds the owned real estate and physical infrastructure layer on top. Story 2 — EU DMA: What the Google Android Order Actually Requires
Per the European Commission's official orders, the practical change for EU Android users from August 2027: you will be able to set Claude or ChatGPT as your default AI assistant with the same system-level integration that Gemini currently has — voice activation, on-device context, autonomous app actions. Currently, only Gemini can do all of this. The search data order (January 2027) opens Google's query-click-ranking data to rival search engines and eligible AI chatbot providers under FRAND pricing — a significant data access change for AI companies building search-grounded responses.
