Salesforce lands inside Claude
The plugin brings accounts, opportunities and pipeline into Claude with 37 prebuilt sales skills — daily briefings, pipeline review, meeting prep, forecast narrative, deal-health review, win/loss analysis.
It runs on MCP, inherits existing Salesforce permissions, and asks the seller for approval before writing anything back. Two of those are the containment pattern Anthropic published about the day before: permissions inherited rather than granted, approval required before an irreversible action.
The question nobody has answered: it is available on all paid plans, and on Pro and Max a single weekly pool covers chat, Claude Code and Cowork. That pool settled 17 percent lower on 14 September. Whether sales work draws on the same allowance has not been stated.

Two opposite bets, four days apart
On 12 September Microsoft added xAI models to Copilot alongside OpenAI and Anthropic — Copilot became a marketplace where no vendor owns the interface.
Claudeforce is the reverse. Claude is the default reasoning model across Agentforce, the Atlas Reasoning Engine and Slack. One model, deeply integrated, exclusive by design.
Microsoft is betting on owning the interface and renting any model. Anthropic is betting on owning the model and reaching into any system. Both cannot be right.
