Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash reached general availability with clips running up to 15 seconds, up from 10 in Omni 1.1, and selectable in one-second steps from three. Pricing is $0.07 per second for 720p video, which Google puts at 30% below the previous model. You draft at 360p or 720p and upscale finished clips to 1080p or 4K.
The change that matters most in practice is multi-turn conversational editing: you refine a clip with follow-up instructions rather than regenerating it and hoping. Anyone who has burned a budget re-rolling a generation to fix one detail will recognise why that is the feature and the price cut is the headline. Google also cites better reference adherence across character, product and style images, motion clips up to three seconds and audio cues, more consistency from first to last frame, more natural speech with clearer lip-sync and multi-speaker voice conditioning, and more controllable camera movement with fewer jump cuts.
It ships through the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, the Google Cloud console and enterprise API with Provisioned Throughput available, Flow, Google Vids, and Google Ads, and is rolling out in the Gemini app to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Google Vids clips come at no additional cost with a Google account or Workspace subscription, though no quota is stated. The announcement cites no benchmark or leaderboard numbers — the comparisons against Omni 1.1 are demo examples.
