Mistral Launches 128B Flagship and Work Mode
Mistral AI released its 128B flagship model alongside async cloud-based coding sessions and a new agentic Work mode inside Le Chat. The Work mode positions Le Chat as a direct competitor to Claude Code and Codex for developers building agent workflows. Mistral's GitHub repository doubled forks and merged pull requests in three months following its earlier Mistral 3 release.
GPT-5.5 API Access Expanding
OpenAI's GPT-5.5 continues rolling out across API tiers following its April 23 launch. The model achieves 82.7% on Terminal-Bench 2.0 and 58.6% on SWE-Bench Pro — OpenAI's strongest agentic coding performance to date. GPT-5.5 Pro is available to Pro, Business, and Enterprise users. API availability was confirmed imminent at launch; enterprise onboarding is now in progress.
