Higgsfield vs Runway: The $15 Tiers Are Not Comparable

Same entry price, 3x the credits on one side - and two completely different ideas of what unlimited means

TopUltra $129 ($99 annual) - 3,000 creditsMax $95 ($76 annual) - 9,500 credits

Higgsfield prices verified 11 September 2026; Runway prices read from its pricing page today.

The headline is the entry tier. Both cost $15 and Runway gives you three times the credits. Anyone comparing the two by monthly price alone will get this backwards.

What unlimited means on each

This is where the comparison stops being arithmetic.

Higgsfield sells unlimited per model, not per account. Plus and Ultra include a 365-day unlimited set covering six image models, plus timed windows on Nano Banana 2 and, on Ultra, Nano Banana Pro. Annual Plus and Ultra add a Kling 3.0 window - and Kling 3.0 is the only video model with an unlimited window. There is also an Unlimited Models Marketplace selling 1, 3 and 7-day passes per model from $7 up to $1,035 for a 7-day all-models pass.

Three catches worth knowing before you subscribe: unlimited applies in the standard queue only, only on higgsfield.ai, and MCP, CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer all consume credits regardless of your plan. If you intended to drive Higgsfield from the command line on an unlimited plan, you are back on credits.

Runway has no unlimited generation tier. What it gives instead is unlimited 4K upscaling and Topaz AI Upscale from Pro upward - finishing, not generation - and on Max, unused credits roll over for one month.

Models

Higgsfield runs one credit balance across 30+ models spanning video, image and audio, naming Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 2.6, with Sora 2, Seedance 2.0, Grok Imagine 1.5 and Gemini Omni Flash in its navigation.

Runway Standard includes all its video and image models - Gen-4.5, Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro among them - with Seedance 2.5 held back to Pro.

Both carry Kling 3.0, so if Kling is what you came for, compare on the cost of running it rather than on catalogue size.

Credits to seconds

Runway publishes the conversion, which is rare and useful:

  • Standard, 625 credits: about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5, 104 seconds of Gen-4 Turbo, or 78 Gen-4 images at 1080p
  • Pro, 2,250 credits: about 187 seconds of Gen-4.5, 375 seconds of Gen-4 Turbo, or 281 images
  • Max, 9,500 credits: about 791 seconds of Gen-4.5, 1,900 seconds of Gen-4 Turbo, or 1,187 images

Read Standard honestly: $15 buys roughly 52 seconds of flagship video a month. That is under a minute. Plan around it rather than being surprised by it in week two.

Throughput and finishing

Runway publishes parallel generation limits - 5 on Standard, 15 on Pro, 20 on Max - plus project caps of 3, 5 and 10, brand kits and voice clones from Pro, and studio output on Max including HDR, ProRes and image sequences. Storage runs 5GB free, 20GB Standard, 100GB Pro, 500GB Max. Runway MCP arrives at Pro.

Higgsfield does not publish equivalent concurrency figures, and its unlimited access is explicitly standard-queue.

Which to buy

  • Testing the water - Runway free, 125 credits that never expire. Higgsfield has no equivalent.
  • $15 budget - Runway Standard. 625 credits against 200 is not close.
  • Volume on one image model - Higgsfield Plus annual at $39. The 365-day unlimited set is real value if your work sits inside those six models.
  • Delivering to clients - Runway Pro or Max. Unlimited 4K upscale, ProRes, HDR and brand kits are finishing features Higgsfield does not match.
  • Chasing new models - Higgsfield. 30+ on one balance, and the marketplace lets you rent a model for a week instead of changing plan.
  • Automating via CLI or MCP - Runway. Higgsfield charges credits for MCP and CLI even on unlimited plans.

Verdict

Different products wearing similar price tags. Runway is a production tool: predictable credits, published conversions, real finishing, and automation that does not get metered twice. Higgsfield is a model buffet: more models than anyone, genuinely unlimited windows on specific ones, and a marketplace that rents access by the day.

The trap is the entry tier. $15 on Runway is three times the credits of $15 on Higgsfield, and Higgsfield entry plan excludes the unlimited set that is the main reason to be there at all. If Higgsfield is what you want, start at Plus annual, not Starter.

⚖ Our Verdict

Runway for predictable credit maths and 4K finishing. Higgsfield for breadth of models and the per-model unlimited windows, if you can live with a 200-credit entry tier that is a third of Runway equivalent.
